MTU is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of large diesel engines and complete systems and is currently part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG. Engines are used in the construction industry, in ships (merchant ships, yachts, military and government vessels), in railway transport (diesel units, locomotives, railcars), in the power industry (decentralized power supply, generator drives), in agriculture and forestry, in mining, in the oil and gas industry, and in military vehicles.

MTU engines cover a wide power range. Current series are MTU 1000, 1300, 1600 and 1800, as well as MTU 2000 and 4000. Classic series are MTU 183, 331, 362, 396, 460, 473, 493, 501, 502, 652, 904, 924, 934, 90 6 , 926, 936 and 956. The engines cover the power range from 75 kW to 6250 kW.
